Westlock Movers
Description
Our History
Westlock Movers was started in 1988 when Dennis Lefebvre, owner of Lefebvre Auctions, noticed a need for his clients to have large items transported to and from the auction site. He bought a three-ton cube van and “Westlock Movers” was born.
Dennis recruited his 13-year-old son, Dion, who was eager to help out. Dion fell in love with the work and traveling, and eventually purchased the company from his dad in 1998.
Though most people cannot relate to finding “joy” in moving furniture, Dion’s passion and dedication are evident. “I’ve seen many things in my 30-year career,” he says, “It’s always new and exciting and sometimes very challenging. I get paid to travel all over Western Canada and into the Territories, often meeting new and interesting people every day. I’m confident that with our experience we are among the elite of the industry. I sleep well knowing I put 100% into every job, helping hundreds of families relocate with someone they can trust”.
After a long career in the moving industry, Dion has retired from the moving profession in 2020 and has passed the company to his son Durell Lefebvre.
Currently, the Westlock Movers fleet consists of 1 five-ton cube van as well as a 24-foot fully enclosed trailer. They can accommodate both small and large offices or household furniture. Our fleet comes fully equipped with commercial moving pads, dollys, appliance carts, and forearm straps to ensure that your furniture is loaded safely and transported safely.
The crew consists of Durell Lefebvre and his friends/co-workers: Justin Rogers, Paul Scott, and Dion Lefebvre – all of whom are well experienced in the moving industry.
Though they all have very diverse personalities, each member of the team is dedicated and professional with an “old-fashioned” work ethic.
The staff at Westlock Movers are dedicated to their community as well as their customers. In the past year alone they have provided volunteer service and/or donations to many local organizations including FCSS / Santa’s Anonymous, Westlock & District Victim Services, Westlock Blooms Foundation, and Westlock & District Minor Hockey.
Westlock Movers is also accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM) which are two organizations that recognize excellence on the job.
